14th Annual Carolina Sports Medicine Battleship North Carolina Half Marathon and Battleship 5k, November 4, 2012: A beautiful and challenging USATF certified (NC-05061-PH) half marathon that starts and finishes at the Battleship North Carolina across the river from downtown Wilmington, NC. This run features several different awards categories, including one for active duty and retired active duty. The race is dedicated to the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces, to those who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and to the men who served on the Battleship North Carolina "The Immortal Showboat".
8th Annual Dash for Cash, December 2th, 2012: A great Greenville tradition run in honor of Captain Christopher S. Cash who was killed in Iraq while serving with the North Carolina National Guard. This race features a 10 miler and has a 5k run and walk as well. Money raised from the Dash for Cash is used to fund scholarship to North Carolina Wesleyan College and East Carolina University. Finish Strong Series: Our timer and scorer for 2012. They organize and support several road races, duathlons, and triathlons throughout eastern North Carolina. You can register online for our race and several other races there.
